Soccer

1-0 Lil bit wins :)   She and another girl scored the goal (basically they hit the ball at the same time, so no clue who would get credit).

She played great defense, hustled on offense and didn't have to stop any shots at goalie.  Was a good day for her and that's 3 wins in a row now.

Bowling

181 - 155 (gah) - 205; good overall but we post-bowled so no clue how we did.

One more week (still have a shot at 2nd place)

About time

Decatur voters today approved Sunday alcohol sales and favored adopting the council-manager form of government, with most results tabulated.

The council-manager issue remained too tight to declare it decided with some votes uncounted and all others unofficial. Support for changing the government system for the city led opposition by a thin 481-vote margin.

With almost all of Decatur's 21 precincts counted, there were 5,616 votes favoring Sunday sales and 3,360 opposed to lifting the ban.

Since I don't technically live in Decatur (just on the outskirts) I couldn't vote on this, but I like the results.

Soccer

Lil bit's team won 2-0 today; she had a couple shots on goal, but no other stats (effort and ability don't show up well in stat sheets if you don't score heh)



It was an absolutely gorgeous day after the rain this morning... too bad I'm about dead (work last night, tonight and 2 hrs sleep) :)

Update

Last Saturday was the first day of Soccer for lil bit.

They lost 3-1, but she played extremely well. She had 3 shots on goal and scored the lone goal; she handled the ball well and in her turn at goalie, she had 3 saves and gave up no goals.

Tuesday had lunch with L and had a blast; carried me through the next day it was so much fun.

Wednesday golf. Nate and I shot a 85 (couldn't putt), decent considering it's been 6-8 months for me and 1 1/2 years since he played [the other team couldn't putt either, but shot 83]
Wednesday night bowling. 160 to start, split city; 187 game 2 and 221 game 3.

Thursday started midnights (3) and was awful. Need more L :)
